Day 6. City of Brotherly Love.

The name ‘Philadelphia’ means brotherly love in Latin. Every single corner of Philly, there are surprises. If you are not a fan of surprises, don’t worry – this is a good surprise that Philly gave you.

Today was a get to know Philadelphia day. Walked around the city a little, had a lunch at Reading Market, and participated in Ale & Art Mural tour program. Not just because this Love statue is one of the significant spot in Philadelphia, this city is full of love, I can feel.

Big Bus Tour

Great way to get to know the city. We did two loops, but this time we could sit on double deck, cause it’s not raining! Beautiful city, tremendous amount of statues, and history!

Reading Terminal Market

The oldest food court in America. This is one of the most interesting food markets I’ve ever been to.

Had a lunch at Cajun Cafe – fried Mac and Cheese and Gator Gumbo. Both new dishes to me, and I’m happy to give two thumbs up for both of the dishes!

Ale & Art Mural Tour – West Philadelphia

Mural art program in Philly is astonishing. Did you know, Philadelphia has the most mural in the world? And there’s more than 3,000 pieces around the city?

There’s story behind of this murals. This is going to be another full-story post.

Are you an art lover? Are you planning to visit Philadelphia? Then, please tune in!

These two are probably one of my favourites. “Finding Home” and “Muses of Philadelphia”. It’s about people in this city, this society. It’s about people.  The reason I put a photo of beer in between because there’s a reason why this program is called “Ale and Art” 🙂  Good beer and good art! Great combination.
