It’s’the’ time of the year. Look back, say something including ‘I should’ve…’, and making plans for next one.
Like usual I was making lists of..well, everything. Things I loved in 2010, thins didn’t go really well in 2010.. something like that. But I found the pattern so I don’t need to talk around.
Things I am grateful for can represent as a one word.
people.
Yes, I am very grateful for the people I met this year. There are so many ups and downs this year, but I have to say that I had more ups than downs. I feel love, fun, excitement, curiousity, but mostly love.

The best thing happen this year was clearly the launch of Runaway Juno. It leads to whole different world. Open the enormous door for me, to the world. Finally I got my own blog that I can talk about travel, and share the world with great minds. I had so many stories had been sleeping in my journal, and laptop.
Travel bloggers and travelers in our group, we share passion, practical information, experiences and mostly we are having fun together. We talk daily basis, we say good night and good morning everyday. -Not in particular order though. 😉 – Among all those people, I found some great friends who I can talk, and I was fortunate to meet some of them in person, which was fantastic.
Being a editor of Traveldudes.org (the mother load of Travel tips), helpful member of GBN, many guest posts at fellow travel bloggers.. along the way, I got involved with everything deeply and fell in love with the people all over again.

Foreign friends who worked in Korea for (mostly) teaching
I had so much fun with them. They are not like travelers I talk online, but they have some great attitude to this world and they enjoy their travel in their own way. I admire so much about that. I invited birthday parties, and little meet ups with great good, and all the talking. So much fun! Most of them only stayed here for one year, but the brief meet up was enough to feel how great the world we are living in.

I cannot leave them out on the list. I didn’t do so much of ‘grand’ backpacking trip this year, because my work just won’t let me go. Well, anyhow I went to few backpacking trips and every each time I met great friends from all over the world. Great thing is that I experienced so many serendipity. This is one of my favourite English word by the way. I wrote few of these stories, and I am absolutely grateful for that. Short meeting can be intense if there’s chemistry. We already had so much in common, ‘travel’, so it’s just matter of time to be close. Hanging out with fellow backpackers, always a pleasure.

Personal interests
Personally, I took many great classes at G.Ni dance studio and met some great friends there. I’ve been with G.Ni for one year and a half now and I started take higher level classes from this fall. After that I became pretty close to fellow student dancers and teachers. We took a short trip together, we take care of each other, and talk all the time. Never met them in 20 something years of my life and have whole different background but we became really close, and we talk about everything. Ah, great people came from everywhere, all around the world!

My friends from high school
Even though we couldn’t get together that many times but we spend our birthdays together, and we are comfortable with each other. Time does that. We are going to spend 2011 New Year’s day together this year. I’m very excited. We might climb up a small mountain in my town to see the New Year’s sunrise! We’ve never done that. Well, we have to see what happen that day… We are like a family, and I’m so grateful for that. (Even though I know you guys are not going to read this. 😀 )

my dear friends at my second home, New Zealand.
After Diana rescued me from Auckland observatory, they let me lived with them for a while, we traveled together, and Diana and Keanu(her son) spend one Chinese New Year in Korea with me. I feel like they are part of my family. Now Diana moved in Deajeon for a year, teaching! We already spend one weekend together and we are going to spend Christmas together. There are just so much to catch up. So much fun! How great the world is. Just constantly surprises me.

I’m happy to have met with Juno online over the past year. The first person I’ve met from Korea online and hopefully our paths will cross in the real world one day too.
It’s been great read and and learn more about the world from a Korean viewpoint. I think there is no other in the world doing what you are doing Juno, so that makes you a pioneer in Korean travel blogging.
