I’m going to Chiapas, Mexico!
Sound familiar? You’re right. I went to Chiapas this time last year as well. (Here you can read the recap of ATMEX 2013.) But this year, I’m going with more responsibility. I’m attending ATMEX, Adventure Travel Mexico, to share my thoughts on storytelling. Teaming up with Pam Mandel, one of the sharpest writers I know, we are going to talk about the importance of storytelling and digital media to our audience. I’m really excited about this opportunity to share my love of storytelling and digital media.
That’s not it!
Before starting the official program, I’ll be traveling around San Luis Potosí. I’ve visited Chiapas last year quite briefly, but this time I’m going to jump off of a waterfall, go rafting, rappelling, scuba diving, and more for four days in San Luis Potosi (Huasteca area). It will be a nice change of scenery from hot and humid Borneo to hot and humid Mexico…. oh wait… All jokes aside, I’m very excited.
The actual ATMEX conference will be held in San Cristobal de Las Casas between 27 – 30 August. ATMEX is a specialized event in Adventure Tourism and Nature, currently one of the most important ones in Mexico. It counts on the participation of both national exhibitors, as well as national and international buyers. ATMEX is supported by SECTUR Federal, The Mexico Tourism Board (CPTM) and by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA).
