Kicking off Runaway Daily while Kicking off the Road Trip

The Road Trip

“Kicking what off? Travel? Aren’t you already on the road?”

Yes, yes I know, I am. But sometimes you need to stop and look around, or more like look inside of yourself. That’s what I did for last four weeks. After I got on the plain to America, it has been a busy month, that’s for sure. I met lots of people, haave done some touristy sightseeing, working through social media, and most of all, thinking about past, now, and future.

The road trip was one of the plans I wanted to do in America. It was more like ‘if I go to America someday’ plan but it’s my reality now. This road trip is not so ‘grand’ per se, like I thought when I wrote down my bucket list. However, it means something because it’s something that I always wanted to do. Consider where I grew up is just a size of one state – Indiana in the United States, it’s pretty big thing for sure.

  For how long?

This road trip is going to last about six weeks, give or take. Sadly, I have to be out of the country by end of September due to the visa stuff. I don’t want to be banned from the country, so I’d better follow their rules. But six weeks going to be full of awesomeness, I bet.

  Where I’m going?

About places, there is just only one anchor in this plan – New Hampshire. Stephen from BohemianTraveler.com is going to be my travel companion on this road trip, and I got invited his friend’s wedding in New Hampshire. (My first American wedding experience, yay!) When, where, what, other than New Hampshire is just totally on the air. Nothing’s certain. That’s part of the charm, right?

Though, there is a plan. New England is a basic plan, and there’s a wish list, at least.

Places that on the list are..

Washington D.C

Pennsylvania

– Gettysburg, Philadelphia

New York

– Finger Lakes region, Albany, New York City, Brooklyn

New Hampshire

Vermont

If things are going well.. Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec

Connecticut

Maryland

New Jersey

and back to Virginia

Pretty wicked plan, don’t you think? Camping and hiking in New Hampshire and Vermont would be amazing, I bet. If I visit Finger Lakes, I would be high with all the happiness from all the wineries. Six weeks are just not enough. Actually, three months travel in the US is not enough. Well, that’s another problem in another time. Focusing on next six weeks for now.

If you are going to be in the region that I’m heading, and if you are interested in meeting Runaway Juno, please do let me know. If you have a spare couch, I’m humbly taking your offer. 🙂

Runaway Daily: USA

In honour of Kicking Off the Road trip, I’m kicking off “Runaway Daily, USA”. I’m not certain about wi-fi situation for now, but I will try to broadcast the trip, day after day. I’m sure America will not disappointed me with the internet. Oh well, I’ll find out soon enough.

Please tune in, and give me your advises about USA road trip!

My first Runaway Daily: USA – Day 00 is for Fredericksburg, Virginia. I took these photos a while ago when I walked around the down town. Not so much ‘Daily’, but it’s for me, honouring this homey town. Fredericksburg is a starting point of the road trip.
