Runaway Juno is going to Indonesia!
Taking a short break from my Runaway Europe project, I’m heading to Indonesia for two weeks. Don’t worry! I’ll be right back here after two weeks. Recently I got an invitation from Indonesia Official Tourism Board to join their press trip. The trip is sponsored by Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. To create more awareness of Indonesia as a travel destination to the international market, they invite eight international bloggers and several local bloggers.
After Eat, Pray, Love, a lot of travelers headed to Bali, but Indonesia is much more than that. Eight of us will be exploring, writing, photographing and sharing the wonderful experiences.
Ah Indonesia. I’ve never been yet. The wonderful food, culture, tropical weather, rice paddies, beach and jungle… everything about the country fascinates me. There’s just something about the tropical weather! Doing an island hopping was on my ‘to-do’ list, and now I can finally cross it off! The itinerary is pretty solid. Two weeks is not a long time to visit Indonesia, I’ve heard, and we are covering the highlights of the country.
✪ I’m flying to Jakarta
✪ Tanjung Puting: Will be trekking, river cruising and visiting Orangutans.
✪ Borobudur & Yogyakarta: Visiting Borobudur Temple and trip to Kaliurang are included.
✪ Bromo : Watching sunrise at the mountain! Had to move from 3am…
✪ Labuan Bajo: Short trip to Rinca Island and Kanawa Island: trekking and snorkeling. And of course, we are visiting the famous Komodo dragons.
✪ Bali: Exploring Candidasa area and Ubud. Trip ends here.
Social Network Updates
During our two weeks trip around Indonesia, I’ll be sharing a lot of contents through out social network channels. So don’t be surprised to see a lot of food photos, beach photos and crazy tweet like ‘I’m looking at Komodo dragon now!’. Here are a few of the channels you can follow.
