Series of Serendipity, Who Knew?

No matter how long you travel period was, just short strong memory can make whole trip valuable, sometimes. Well, my short trip to Taiwan. well actually to Taipei was like that.

before I leave, all I could think about is ‘just get the hell out of here!’ and I bought a Korean guide book, which is I never usually do, and mark all over the places interested me.

However, right after I arrived at the airport, the plan was no longer needed. because you know, I’m on vacation!

11th, Feb. Seoul has a lot of snow that very morning. so my plane need to be cleaned. snows on the ceiling, wings.. security issues. so my break got even shorter! eeeh!!

well, not important.

part 1.

Anyhow, finally I found my hostel named “eight elephants hostel”.

It was totally amazing place. (let me get to this later on)

So I registered and go in to my dorm room, there’s Simo from Finland. We introduced each other and start to chat a little. He is from Finland but studying in Korea at the moment! I thought, ‘okay, it’s kinda crazy coincidence I meet a Finish men studying in my country in other country’. Then i ask where do you study and he said MY school! Oh my god. i just graduated last year! What a coincidence! And not like any other foriegn friends i’ve met, he is very interested about Korea. So we are hanging out till he leaves the hostel, and I keep thinking ‘what a small world!’. We have several similar values in life so share life and thoughts during the time. It was great. Hard to meet a friend who ‘click’ with you and in foriegn country?

And, what a small world! huh?

Simo is back to Korea now and so am I. Let’s meet up for great coffee Simo!

part 2.

Many great people stayed Eight Elephants Hostel. Later of my 2nd day, 4 girls from Hongkong stayed with us. We played Apple to Apple, had really great time. However they are not staying long so we just hangout briefly. sort of.

Next morning they are leaving for the next destination and since it is my 3rd day here, and I didn’t see much, so maybe go see Taipei building, even though raining so hard that day, and getting some massages. There’s a lot of places I didn’t see but I choose 101 building since it is THE landmark of Taipei.

So hop on the MRT on my way to the 101 building I took many pictures so it slows my step. And the very moment I was waiting for the green light to cross, I heard some people talking. It was really quite street so got me curious. Look back and there they are! girls, Meaghan, Camber, Lindsey and Gaelle, left this morning! they had some free time for their train ticket. haha

Taipei isn’t small city and we get to meet here! We were so excited 😀 it was ment to be!

they are so cool. We talk, eat and check out the ‘suppose to be great place – page one’. I really enjoyed! I always want to visit Hongkong but not the city way, now i really can! 🙂 welcome to Korea anytime girls!

Part 3.

3rd day. after hang out with Meaghan, Camber, Lindsey and Gaelle, when I came back to hostel there was 3 girls from Korea, teach English, American. A lot of foriegners teach English in Korea right now!

Everyone at hostel ready to go out partying for New Years Eve. So some of them taking a ‘power nap’, if you will. 🙂

in the mean time, Kristen, sweet girl, one of the girls from Korea, and some of us have few beer and nice hang out time. Add each other as Facebook friend. It was fun. and they are going out partying and I leave early next morning.

But after we all got back to where we work, Korea, Kristin’s birthday comming up. and she kindly invited me. It was yesterday 🙂 fun time.

This is just a story of what happened in Taipei. So much more of all the backpacking here and there. For me, this serendipity is the best part of all.

Series of Serendipity.

It is the very definition of my break to Taipei. I didn’t go out and do much activities, but i get to meet great people, share life together, have much sleep.

very peaceful, interesting time. That counts, right?

There’s a romatic movie called Serendipity. I can’t stop thinking about this movie.

anyhow.. glad to meet you all!
