Runaway Subscription Saturday of This Week – Capture the Colour

Capture the Colour contest is up and running!

For this week’s the RSS: Runaway Subscription Saturday, I gathered five of my favourite submissions here. I also participated through my photography blog, and included on the list.

What a colourful world, we are living in.

First up, my submission on Mastering the Art of Photography.

It was hard to choose only five photos with the photo theme. I like the story behind the blue, and like white because this photo looks really ‘me’. That’s the key of this contest, and for all the travel photography. For me, photography is really important because it tells a story. It captures the memory of the place, but also it captured the feeling. And that’s why I’m so loving photography. How do you like my photos? Do they tell you stories too?

Second up, Giulia’s photos on Travel Reportage.

White is my favourite on Giulia’s submission. I remember this photo, because I follow her closely and this was significantly memorable. That’s why I like her photography so much; it tells a story. I liked how she described this photo as a ‘volcano’. Italian Alps is one of the places I want to visit. Thanks to Giulia, I experienced some through her photos.

Third up, Simon’s photos on Wild about Travel.

White temple? I always think about the colour gold for Burma, but I didn’t know there’s a white pagoda in Mingun. Together with the blue sky and the big white cloud, the photos bring the atmosphere really well.

Fourth up, submission on Inspiring Travellers.

Great blue photo. I have a thing for desert and glaciers. In New Zealand and Iceland, I saw massive glaciers but not this blue. Well, it was a gray day in Iceland. This glacier is so blue! How can it be this blue? Nature is amazing. I can’t wait to see it myself.

Fifth up, Stephen’s on Bohemian Traveler.

Red from China is my favourite. Because of the Chinese New Year, and also just because it’s China, we saw a lot of ‘Red’ decorations around the country. It’s their flag, a lot of ribbons for the new year, fireworks, clothes… it’s almost like a national colour. Being in China in Chinese New Year was quite a good experience. The red lanterns were very pretty.

Great idea for the contest! Enjoying see the different ideas for the different colours around the world.

That’s all for this week. Have a great weekend!
