Runaway Photo: Winning Never Looked So Good! – Saratoga, New York

August 11, 2011.
I came home – hotel, in this case – a little bit richer.

The secret? Saratoga Race Track! Just like they say, “Winning Never Looked So Good!”

You can find Saratoga, New York, a charming little town 40 miles north from Albany. The most walkable city, pet friendly, historic architecture, Saratoga Springs… there are lots of characteristics to describe Saratoga, but you cannot leave out the horse race.

We spent one short afternoon at Saratoga Race Track since we were there and it is one of the experiences that we don’t normally do everyday.

Saratoga race track is different than I thought it would be. It was clean, family friendly, easy to use and upscale. Cigar in one hand, racing program in the other and fancy clothes with a fancy hat. You can even bet from where you sit.

Anyway, long story short, we watched 5 games and bet 4 games and guess what?! We won every single race! It was uncanny. We spent $15 each, and won back almost $40. The betting strategy was ‘rooting for underdogs’. And underdogs were fantastic that day. My ‘Impetuous Spirit’ brought me money! We celebrated with filling up the gas tank from that money. Perfect way to celebrate!

Thanks to our friend at the track who was kindly explaining the rules and strategies. Hope you won with your exacta bet!
