Mei, as well known as Ciki, and I known each other for a long time. Not that we hung out in person, but we talked almost everyday on twitter, share everyday life and support each other’s blogs. Everyone knows her on twitter. She’s one of the nicest and brightest tweep I know. And I think we got much closer because Ciki and I are sharing the same time zone, since a lot of bloggers in our community is from Europe of America. 🙂 Anyway, over the years, we had two chances to meet, but one time, the plan got interrupted by North Korea, and I couldn’t extend my ticket when I visited Borneo because the cubic farm didn’t let me. Well, next time!
Because of Mei, I really got to know KL better; especially food-wise. She’s one of the leading food blogger in Malaysia. After two visits to Malaysia, I truly understand why there are so many great food bloggers in the country; because their food is genuinely so.good.

1. Which character is the best to describe Kuala Lumpur? For example, I would say Seoul is both historical and modern. What do you think about KL?
Chaotic yet organized. Modern yet traditional.

2. What is the weather like in Kuala Lumpur?
This is how the termometer reads. Scorching hot – then Warm and humid – then torrential Rain! LOL
3. You live in Kuala Lumpur quite a long time, correct? Do you feel like home?
Definitely home!
4. Street food of Kuala Lumpur. What is classic and what is your favourite? When I was there, Satay was my one and only favourite but because of you, now I know there’s plenty more great food.
Oh, too many – Nasi lemak for sure, but here are my favourites!

5. The most famous landmarks if Kuala Lumpur. And do you like any particular place better?
The Petronas twin towers! The Putrajaya bridges!

6. If I want to enjoy night time, where should I go and what do I do? If you like the nightlife
Changkat Bukit Bintang has loads of pubs and restaurants. If you like some place high, i.e. cooler in temperature and the thrill of the casino, try Genting Highlands. And if you like something quiet and scenic, Putrajaya by night is awesome!
7. How much do you pay for a cup of coffee?or a cup of tea?
At the traditional coffeeshop – RM1.50. At starbucks RM8 !!
8. Where is your favourite and secret hangout place?
Can’t tell you. It’s a secret! LOL. I like the National Library in town.
9. If you can invite anyone to hang out at your city, who would that be? Someone from novel, in the movie, or from the past?. Who would you invite?
YOU!
From a novel – Murakami or Stephen King;
From the movies – Ryan Renolds coz he’s hot or Will Ferrell coz he’s funny;
From the past – Michelangelo or Florence Nightingale, or William Shakespeare!
10. Which transportation is the best way to wonder around the city?
By car. If you own a car, that’s probably ideal. Everything is widespread here and pretty impossible to walk from the suburb of Petaling Jaya to the heart of the City in Kuala Lumpur. Not to mention the fact that if you choose to walk for more than 10 minutes outdoors, you will be drenched in sweat. Yes, it’s that humid! The LRT and monorail are also pretty practical to use, if you are located in central KL.
11. Any religious habits?
Malaysia has many different cultures, so is there any important tips about religion? Malaysia is a multi-racial society. Live and let live I say. Since almost every religion advocates tolerance, we should learn to live that way, correct?
12. If you are traveling to Kuala Lumpur, you are not going out without… ( )

13. What do you think about ‘the best’ and ‘the worst’ about living in Kuala Lumpur?
the best – food! the worst – traffic!
14. If you are taking a day trip, where would you go near your city?
The historical town of Malacca. Good food and amazing historical buildings. Plenty of good photography opportunities here.

15. Would you share your secret tip about your city for travelers?
Well, since most everybody speaks English, it’s easy getting around Kuala Lumpur. There is no secret formula to having a good experience in my city. Have an open mind to the food, people and culture and don’t set crazy high expectations. That way, more good things will come to you. Oh, that and carry a map;)
