It is ‘art’ for me more that anything

.

.

There are few shots always make our heart flutter.

This doesn’t show as ‘artistic’ or ‘photographic’ but It is highly important for me, for most of travelers, I assume. I find it quite artistic for me. It makes my heart flutter more than anything, I want to look at them all the time. Isn’t it like a base character of what ‘art’ is?

.

1. View out side of a window in a plane.

.

You know airport, we love so much. On the runway, for the plane not for the models, there are full of mechanical stuff, ‘follow me’ car, and a luggage machine. Frankly it is not that pretty view. Eventhough we love taking pictures of that before plane leaves. When it took off, it’s no doubt the best view of all time but not when it seat on the ground.

Nontheless I love these shots. I don’t think that’s only me who loves this.

2. Plane food

.

It must be about the excitement. Or is plane food actually good? Probably I will never know but I know this one thing. Plane food I had were all good. When I am with domestic airline, I usually have non-Korean food. They won award for Korean food on the plane but I just want to have something different.

Anyhow, food in any airline, never disappointed me.

When I was flying to New Zealand for the first time, I just didn’t get people who didn’t want to have dinner. There’s a ‘don’t disturb’ sign just like a hotel room. I wanted have their food too. Are you really going to through out this opportunity dude? What’s what I wanted to say. Well, maybe he was sick of all the plane food but not me.

3. Backpack

.

I love backpack. I consider myself as a backpacker. When I have backpack on my back, it feels so right. I love picture of me with packpack. That blue bag is almost 6 years old, I broke the back strip at my 3rd backpacking. Winter backpacking was hard!!! :)

4. Feet

.

No matter where you stand, it has significant meaning, I think. I love pictures with my body parts in it. It is weird to say ‘body parts’…. but yes. Hand, fingers, and feet.  It makes photo different. The perfect shot of manument is good but I want ‘my’ version of photo, right? And I notice many of travelers take pictures of their feet also. Maybe just me, but it’s one of my favorite series. Because I am proud of where I’ve been? haha maybe.

5. Passport.

.

I want to have passport as my ID. Well, it happens when I’m on the road but not here. I renewed one in Feburary. Old passport, I have few pictures of them. I like all the stamps and even one signiture, so I want to keep that as a memory. Well I still have that passport itself as well. Passport and airline ticket are always on my photo collection. Sometimes I think ‘I chould use this when I lost my ticket of passport.’ And some of them are porpose of that but most of them are just for pleasure.

My favorite is the one I got on the train from KL to Singapore. He signed it instead of stamp. I don’t know that’s his signiture of some kind of immigration sign but I like it because feel so personal.

.

Isn’t this like a signiture look? Holding a passport, wearing a backpack, a little tan would be better. Oh I just can’t wait to be on the road again.

What do you think? :)

What is your ‘special’ shot?

Excellent post! I hate airline food– but I rarely have the option to try it, since US airlines don’t provide free food anymore. I might like airline food if I flew in Korea. Those meals looked tasty! :)

      @Leslie

Seriously? They charge the food? Whaat, is that a wedding? Airlines always seem to find the way to charge you more and more!! Argh.
      Oh well that changes everything.
Yes Korean domestic airlines serve the best food, I can tell. You would love it! I recommend Bibimbap. :)

the bimbimbap? You mean the “blahblahblah”? Korean plane food was the 2nd best I have ever had. 1st being qantas airlines. I got a little rack of lamb, grilled and everything. i loved this post it was very cute and i enjoyed seeing what your version of art is. I think you should do a photo series and have it put in a gallery in seoul. Your photos are beautiful.

  9. I love esp the idea to take photos of the plane food. So you have much material for discussions about this topic. And yes, the quality of food is always a good topic for a discussion.

I love taking pictures out of the airline window…

Also, Korean Air is probably one of my most favorite airlines. For being in “cattle coach” they still take care of you!

  13. OMG You are right I am definitely guilty of the feet and the airplane food photos! LOL this article is so funny. Personally, I would add 1) taking pictures of other people taking pictures of their friends in front of something famous – it’s usually more interesting then the famous thing itself and 2) hotel/guesthouse room doors. I’m starting a series sort of just for myself of all the places I sleep. Good post!
